I just realized that it says Joe and Carol on my face. Not sure I like this anymore.
This is my favorite. I guess this can count as double exposure.
This is the picture without being a layer which is still pretty neat.

Still Lives

This last one made me twitch editing it and also shooting it. I hate porcelain dolls.

These were all taken from behind my shower door. It created a cool texture and blurred my face for some of them. I added other textures too. I want to try this again with a model that is not myself. I could get more interesting angles that way.

I'm absolutely in love

with Joel-Peter Witkin's photography.
Well, at least most of it. Some of it is a little much even for me.
Looking at his work has given me inspiration, and I would like to try out the scratching of the negatives that he does. I will not ,however, use cadavers as subjects. I don't know how that was legal to do anywhere, even Mexico. He was a strange man.

So I've been losing interest in almost everything lately.
Sadly that includes photography which is why I haven't really posted anything in the past couple weeks or done my first assignment.
I also haven't done hardly any school work either.
All I want to do is sleep anymore.

I am absolutely in love with this song. The lyrics are amazing and moving and they inspire me. I really want to do a photo series based on these lyrics and I'm gonna try it eventually.

The Definition of

Good- too subjective to be defined. Something I think is "good" now may seem horrible the next day.


Art- Also far too subjective to be defined. Art can be found in anything and anywhere, and can mean a whole mess of things to different people.

Photo- A moment in time, an idea, a person or group of people. Something to be remembered, a message.


Me in Photo for the first semester- A learning experience. I did many portraits and played with different lighting. I also got very into digital and am now obesessed with texture layers.


My Assignment- I like to take pictures that will make people kind of stop and look at it, provoke them, such as horror photos with blood and other things of the sort. So my assignment is to take a roll of film of all things "disturbing". But school appropriate for the most part of course.

A Basement creature.

Is basically what I have been photography wise for the past couple of weeks.

And I feel extremely narcissistic for taking all these self portraits, but I have no models. So, someone model for me pleasee. I get my license (HOPEFULLY) on Friday, so the fact that I live an absurd distance from PFA won't matter anymore.
And I also realized that I took pictures of my other two cats but not Morey so I felt bad and took a picture with him. He's a cutie. :}

Sunday night boredom.

I've always wanted to take bloody pictures and tonight I finally got to it.




I'm far too obsessed with textures. And I just realized how beastly the editing made me look. oh well.

Only felt up to taking one picture today. That's my father by the way.

I forget what day I'm on.

I personally hate football, but as you can see my family is all into it. This is my nephew Jackson.

Now here are some old pictures I put textures over. All of the textures I used are mine and I took them today so it still should count for the 365 thing. But I guess I kind of screwed up the 365 thing anyway so it doesn't matter.


This one I actually took today. I'm quite happy with it. And I'm going to get my whole head that blue I decided.

Textures

Yes. This is Selena. She took the photo of herself on her myspace and when I get bored I go around on people's myspaces or whatever and edit photos to see if I can make them interesting. Is that a creeper thing? I don't mean to be a creeper I'm just obsessed with photoshop. But it came out really cool none-the-less. I used a texture from deviantart.com
This is my nephew jackson. My sister took the photo which is actually pretty cool by itself. I put a texture layer from the floor in my garage.
I hated this picture originally. But it works well with the head in the clouds thing.
Another self portrait with a woods texture. I like this better than my darkroom self portrait.
I also used two pictures from deviant art for this photo. It kind of reminds me of Marilyn Manson now which is quite awesome.

As soon as it's light out I'm going to take pictures of a bunch of interesting textures. I haven't slept yet because I have an unhealthy obsession with this photography thing.

I fail.

I didn't take pictures last night because of the concert and falling asleep disgustingly early.
I also don't feel like taking pictures tonight because I have just finished 12 straight hours of algebra 2 work.
But a house just recently burned down two streets away from me so those pictures should make up for it. Or am I being completely insensitive by taking pictures of it so early? No one died or anything. Idk I feel kind of hesitant about it but the pictures would probably be epic. bleh. idk what to do.

These pictures aren't my best. Two are from yesterday and two are from today. I might take better ones later. I've just been stressed from the concert and algebra and haven't had the time to take nice pictures.
