Yes, I take corny holiday pictures of my cat.
I wanted to bring these in tomorrow and do that thing where you can make things in color and other things in black and white because my crappy editing software doesn't do that but I can't come tomorrow :[. Oh well. I bet I could get Feek in one of those cat calenders but that would be horribly pathetic of me haha.

Cancer
My sister, being amazing as she is, shaved her head today because our grandmother was just recently diagnosed with agressive breast cancer and will start chemo next Wednesday. So I decided to take some portraits, these two are in digital but I will have film ones too.
I really like how the sepia one turned out.
Also, I'm extremely frustrated with this whole self portrait thing but this is a digital one I took that has the same type of theme as the film ones. I really think that the film ones turned out horrible though.. but yea. here it is.

Shutter Speed. fun times.
Shutter speed controls how fast the shutter opens and exposes light to the sensor and film. The longer the shutter is open, the brighter the picture will be. The shorter the shutter is left open, the darker the picture will be. Shutter speed is noted in seconds such as 1/100, and 1/60. Also, you must take into consideration the speed of the object you are taking a picture of. The faster the object moves, the faster you have to make the shutter speed.

Some more digital things.
One's a little fun thing of me. And the other is of my friend that I did a photo shoot with at Jacobsburg Park. We found this awesome old shed thing, which is what she's standing in next to a barn on one of the trails. There will be actual film pictures with this photo shoot on here once I get them developed.

Aperture Assignment Thinger.
Ok, so I learned some things about aperture, which I needed to because I fail at film photography and know nothing.
1} I learned what a stop is. It's any structure that limits the light intake of the camera. An example of these structures would be a diaphragm.
2} I also learned that the size of the stop effects the depth of field, which means whats actually in focus and I wanted to know what actually controlled this so that I do the whole thing where you take a picture of an eyeball and everything else around it is out of focus. Which I will do that exact picture eventually with someone who has a neat eyeball.
3} One last thing I learned is that an f-number is the ratio of focal length to effective aperture diameter. The lower the f-number is the more light gets in.
Alot of this stuff on this page honestly is kind of going into my brain and kind of swishing around in there and then getting lost. I do better with physically seeing things on the camera to understand it. I'm like that with all technology items, well if you can even consider my camera to be a technological item since it's ridiculously ancient. But anyway I ramble stupidly.
